Galuppi

In my heart’s perennial soul
I never grow old
I never grew past
All I wanted at last
When I walked the mountains alone.

Much rather would I now
Give all to remain there, somehow
Than to have dwelt
In all I have been dealt
From that hallowed age ’til now.
